DRAFTFCB

Interpublic group company selected marketingunity for its South African operation.

When DRAFTFCB South Africa decided to implement procurement software, being part of a Worldwide Agency group gave them many options. The one they chose was marketingunity.

As James Holland, DRAFTFCB South Africa Finance Director explains –

"We anticipated that in line with global trends, our clients would increasingly expect us to not only fulfil our brief effectively, but to demonstrate that we are doing so as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. To stay ahead of our competitors in anticipating this requirement, we decided to implement a best-in-class tool that would support this ability."

"Key requirements were for a workflow system to implement sustainable, ‘best-practice’ processes: effective resource management and procurement; and an ‘always on’ source of up to date and accurate management information." Following an exhaustive search across South Africa and Western Europe, they decided upon a proven UK product, equator (rebranded as marketingunity in 2009).

The decision was based upon the suite’s intuitive front end, allowing almost immediate deployment, its rich reporting suite, and its web based access.

Holland continues -

"With marketingunity, not only will DRAFTFCB be able to create substantial savings on the marketing collateral we acquire for use with their accounts, but we will also be able to provide them with an online system that can leverage their combined volumes to make saving on their non-agency marketing spend on items such as print."

"I am completely convinced that solutions with the type of power delivered by marketingunity, combined with the skills and experience offered by their Agencies, will shortly be a mandatory requirement in the corporate market."

He sums up with "marketingunity is the best in its class, with 24x7 access that puts us, our clients and our supply chain partners in constant control of our mutual business transactions."
